Ashwin replaces Jadeja in Irani squad

The off-spinner, who missed the recently concluded Prof D B Deodhar Trophy as he was injured, has now recovered and is declared fit to play.

Ravichandran Ashwin has been drafted into the Rest of India squad for the Z.R. Irani Cup as a replacement for the injured Ravindra Jadeja.

Jadeja had suffered a side strain and has been advised rest. 

Ashwin, who missed the recently concluded Prof D B Deodhar Trophy as he was injured, has now recovered and is declared fit to play.

The Rest of India will face Vidarbha, the Ranji Trophy champions in Nagpur from March 14 to 18.
