Yuvraj Singh's availability should boost Punjab's hopes in the forthcoming Ranji Trophy match against Delhi to be held at the Feroz Shah Kotla here from Wednesday.
Having missed the first two matches against Andhra and Madhya Pradesh, Yuvraj turned up at the Punjab nets on Monday and showed no signs of rustiness. Punjab ended up conceding the first innings lead in both the drawn matches.
Yuvraj will also play the next two matches against Himachal Pradesh (Dec 6-9) and Tamil Nadu (Dec 14-17) in Mohali.
Punjab will, however, be without Shubhman Gill for the match against Delhi. The talented opener, who scored a fifty in each innings (against Andhra) in his only Ranji Trophy match this season, is part of the India ` A' squad currently touring New Zealand.
