Put in to bat, Vidarbha managed 183 on day one. Delhi's Sumit Narwal picked up four for 38, and Shalab Shrivastava top-scored with 62 (93b, 10x4) for Vidarbha.

Delhi got to 250 for eight with a first innings lead of 67 runs on day two. Left-hander Manan Sharma scored an unbeaten 82 (119b, 9x4, 1x6). For Vidarbha, Rajneesh Gurbani picked up four for 76, and Lalit Yadav took three for 79.
