11.33 IST: WICKET! Skipper Harmanpreet Kaur falls. Stumped by Katey Martin off Amelia Kerr. India 129/7 (17.3 overs) and need 31 runs in 15 balls. Taniya Bhatia, India's regular top order batter, walks in next.

11.18 IST: WICKET! Flurry of wickets now as Anuja Patil, who just came in, is sent packing. Same combination again. Amelia Kerr with the catch off Lea Tahuhu. India 114/5 after 14.4 overs, after being 102/2 a few balls ago. Lots of drama at Wellington. The early finish that we spoke of earlier can be comfortably set aside now.

11.16 IST: WICKET! Dayalan Hemalatha departs for three runs off six balls. A simple catch for Amelia Kerr at mid-wicket and Lea Tahuhu gets her second wicket of the day. India 114/4, 14.1 overs.

10.58 IST: Overs 7 to 11 have given India 40 runs without the loss of a wicket.

10.54 IST: Amy Satterthwaite gives away only three runs and India is 90/1 at the halfway mark. Going by the urgency in Jemimah Rodrigues and Smriti Mandhana's batting, there's a good chance we will have an early finish.

10.50 IST: After 9 overs, India is 87/1. Jemimah Rodrigues 30 (24b) and Smriti Mandhana 51 (25b) helping India cruise towards the target.

10.48 IST: HALF CENTURY FOR Smriti Mandhana! Brings it up in style, with a six. Effortless stuff. Beautifully timed shots today along with impeccable placement. 50 off just 24 balls and she isn't done yet.

This is Mandhana's seventh T20 half century. She goes level with Harmanpreet Kaur. Only Mithali Raj, with 17, is (well) ahead among Indian women. This is also the fifth fastest among India Women in T20 matches. Of the first five fastest fifties for India Women in T20 matches, four have come off her bat.

Priya Punia 4 (5b) [4s-1]

10.11 IST: Frances Mackay opens the bowling for New Zealand. Priya Punia gets a four off the second ball but Mackay limps off after the third ball. She won't be able to finish her over, looks like a consequence of the collision with Katey Martin while they were batting.

INDIAN INNINGS: Smriti Mandhana and Priya Punia will get the chase underway.

10 IST: Katey Martin manages to squeeze two sixes off Radha Yadav in the final over and New Zealand finishes at 159/4. Amy Sattherthwaite said she would have opted to bowl first had she won the toss but the target India has been set will make her feel good.

9.52 IST: COLLISION! Katey Martin and Frances Mackay run into each other while taking a single. Both take a tumble but get up and comfortably reach either end.

9.49 IST: Big shout from Deepti Sharma for an LBW. Original decision was not out and the third umpire takes a look at it. And the original decision stands. Frances Mackay survives the appeal.

9.48 IST: After 18 overs, New Zealand is 138/4 — with Katey Martin and Frances Mackay at the crease.

9.36 IST: WICKET! Sophie Devine walks back to the pavillion after Deepti Sharma takes a good catch at cover. The slower ball did the trick. Deepti and Smriti Mandhana almost collided while going for the catch. Arundhati Reddy picks up the wicket.

Sophie Devine 62 (48b) [4s-6, 6s-2] and New Zealand: 116/3 (15.3)

9.34 IST: Back-to-back fours for Sophie Devine from Arundhati Reddy's first two balls of the over. NZ 116/2, 15.2 overs.

0.3 overs Suzy Bates goes straight down the ground and picks up the first FOUR of the match, off Arundhati Reddy.

Debutant Priya Punia receives the cap from Mithali Raj. Symbolic stuff.

For New Zealand Women, Rosemary Mair and Katie Gurrey make their debuts today.

Mithali Raj does not make the team today. Priya Punia will be making her debut.

Here's what the captains said at the toss.
