Former media professional Rahul Johri on Wednesday took charge as the first CEO of the Board of Control for Cricket in India, in line with the recommendations of the Supreme Court-appointed Justice R.M. Lodha committee.
The national cricket board welcomed the CEO, who will report to secretary Ajay Shirke.

According to the BCCI rulebook, the secretary is vested with all the executive powers.
Prior to this, Johri was the Asia Pacific’s executive vice-president and general manager for South Asia with Discovery Networks.
