“Our bowling (against RPS) had been good on a two-paced wicket before MS played that innings. He is one batsman who puts pressure on any bowler in that position,” remarked Laxman.

Sunrisers Hyderabad mentor V. V. S. Laxman said that they were not concerned about the points table but would love to take the next two matches, before the play-offs, one at a time. “The focus would be on the Mumbai game before we head to take on Gujarat Lions,” he said during an interaction on Sunday.

“Our bowling (against RPS) had been good on a two-paced wicket before MS played that innings. He is one batsman who puts pressure on any bowler in that position,” remarked Laxman.

“We are impressed with Kaul (pacer Siddharth) who has taken the opportunities and his game to the next level. We are also pleased with Md Siraj who is an exciting talent and a wicket-taking bowler,” he said to a query.

Referring to Ashish Nehra, Laxman pointed out that the left-arm pacer was scheduled to meet a physiotherapist on Monday and the team would take a final call after that.

“Against RPS, it was tough for the lower-order on that pitch and also the fact that the No. 6 and 7 never really got the chance to bat in the previous games. We are not bothered too much about the loss. We are confident given the fact that the likes of Naman, Hooda or a Bipul can still finish off the games,” Laxman explained.

“We had a chat and the message is pretty clear. Finish off the job on your own instead of leaving it to the others,” he said.
