It was a perfect homecoming for Chennai Super Kings. After winning the Indian Premier League (IPL) title, beating Sunrisers Hyderabad on Sunday, the Mahendra Singh Dhoni-led side returned to Chennai amid fanfare.

While there will be a gala dinner at a city hotel on Monday night, the Super Kings players looked excited after reaching Chennai with the trophy.

Earlier, Suresh Raina had posted pictures on Instagram. “Enroute Chennai #whitslepodu,” wrote Raina on Instagram, putting up a picture of him along with Harbhajan Singh, Deepak Chahar and Stephen Fleming.

Interestingly, another city franchise — Chennaiyin FC — won the Indian Super League this year, and the players returned home in Chennai with a thunderous welcome.
