Former Delhi batsman Mithun Manhas has been appointed batting consultant for Bangladesh under-19 team.
Mithun Manhas, who is currently attached with Jammu and Kashmir as coach, will assist Bangladesh at the under-19 World Cup to be held in New Zealand in January. "I had gone for a one month clinic recently and they liked my work. I was happy to get this contract," said Manhas, who was assistant coach with King's XI Punjab during the last edition of the Indian Premier League.

"Bangladesh has some outstanding junior talent. We saw a glimpse of it at the under 19 Asia Cup where they beat us. Their basics are very good," said Manhas, who has a career aggregate of 157 first class matches.
