SC to hear BCCI matter on constitutional reforms on July 4

The Supreme Court bench, comprising Chief Justice of India, Dipak Misra, Justice A. M. Khanwilkar and Justice D. Y. Chandrachud, will hear the matter against the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) on July 4.

The Supreme Court bench, comprising Chief Justice of India, Dipak Misra, Justice A. M. Khanwilkar and Justice D. Y. Chandrachud, will hear the matter against the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) on July 4.

Gopal Subramanium, the amicus curae, has been asked to share all the suggestions with the state bodies and the office bearers, so that they can argue on the matter.

The last time the matter came up for hearing was on May 1 and the bench had asked the state cricket associations and BCCI office-bearers to give their suggestions on the draft constitution of the apex cricket body. The bench also stated that the finalisation of the draft constitution would depend on its order.
