Everton's Wayne Rooney (L) has returned to form under new manager Sam Allardyce with two goals in two Premier League matches.

After a big midweek schedule saw moves made on the Premier League table, a quick return to action is set to provide a big test for all involved.

All eyes will be watching to see how Tottenham fare away to record-breaker Manchester City, while the weekend opens with intrigue as Leicester City hosts Crystal Palace in a clash between two in-form sides.

With the help of Opta data, here are seven options that must come into consideration for your fantasy teams.

STRIKER - SERGIO AGUERO (MANCHESTER CITY)

Much like Manchester City, Sergio Aguero seems to make history every time he plays at the moment.

The Argentina superstar is one strike shy of 100 competitive goals at the Etihad Stadium, a milestone he might be saving for the big occasion against Tottenham.

And with seven of his 99 having come against Spurs, there is no doubt about his potential to hurt Mauricio Pochettino's side.

STRIKER - WAYNE ROONEY (EVERTON)

He secured a point in the Merseyside derby against Liverpool at Anfield, a win over Newcastle United at St James Park and, come Monday, Wayne Rooney will have the chance for more of the same at Goodison Park.

The former England captain already has five Premier League goals at home this season – the same as his tally over two previous seasons at Manchester United combined – and must be excited by the prospect of a visit from struggling Swansea City.

GOALKEEPER - PETR CECH (ARSENAL)

Held to a frustrating draw at West Ham on Wednesday, Arsenal is looking to get back on track by securing what would be a 10th consecutive victory over an out-of-sorts Newcastle United.

Petr Cech will be confident of setting the platform, having kept more Premier League clean sheets (12) against the Magpies than any other team.

DEFENDER - ERIK PIETERS (STOKE CITY)

Stoke City hosts West Ham in a bid for a much-needed victory and may look to Erik Pieters to provide a route to goal.

The left-sided defender has completed 11 crosses for the Potters this term, six more than any of his team-mates.

He would be wise to aim for Peter Crouch on Saturday as the Hammers have conceded a league-high five headed goals away from home.

DEFENDER - JAMES TARKOWSKI (BURNLEY)

Only two teams have conceded fewer goals than Burnley this term and Sean Dyche must be confident of keeping Brighton and Hove Albion to a blank, even away from home.

James Tarkowski has been a key pillar at the back for the Clarets, playing a part in all eight of their clean sheets and boosting their win percentage from 29.4 to 47.6 when he starts.

MIDFIELDER - WILLIAN (CHELSEA)

Willian rewarded Antonio Conte's decision to start him at Huddersfield Town on Tuesday, scoring the second and supplying a pair of assists in a 3-1 triumph.

Ahead of a visit from Southampton, the Brazilian has now had a hand in six goals in his last four starts for Chelsea in all competitions.

MIDFIELDER - PHILIPPE COUTINHO (LIVERPOOL)

Liverpool head to Bournemouth on Sunday determined to put two frustrating draws behind them.

It will look to Philippe Coutinho to pull the strings, with the playmaker having managed an impressive five goals and three assists in his last five Premier League away games.
