Australia star Aaron Mooy has no plans to use the World Cup as a way to secure a transfer away from Huddersfield Town.
Mooy joined Huddersfield ahead of the 2016-17 Championship season and helped it to promotion in his first campaign.
Town made his stay permanent having initially been on loan from Manchester City and he continued to impress for the club in the Premier League, playing a vital role as it retained its status as a top-flight club in the season just finished.
Mooy was arguably Australia's best player in its World Cup opener on Saturday, a 2-1 defeat to France.
But the 27-year-old is not trying to use his World Cup performances as a way to secure a transfer from Huddersfield, adamant it is a "great club" for him.
"I'm just trying to enjoy the World Cup," Mooy told reporters at Australia's Kazan base on Tuesday.
'Proud to be a Huddersfield player'
"It's my first and maybe my last [World Cup], so I just want to enjoy where I am and try my best. I'm very happy at Huddersfield, it's a great club for me and I'm proud to be a Huddersfield player."
Mooy will come up against a familiar foe in Tottenham star Christian Eriksen on Thursday, when Australia faces Denmark in Samara.
And he is adamant the Spurs playmaker will be the main man the Socceroos need to "keep an eye on".
Mooy said: "He's an excellent player, he's had a great season and is probably their most dangerous player.
"We need to keep a close eye on him and stop the supply going to him, but we need to do that as a team."
Former Netherlands, Bayern Munich and Barcelona midfielder Mark van Bommel is a part of Bert van Marwijk's technical staff at the World Cup and Mooy is relishing learning from such an esteemed ex-player.
"They [Van Marwijk and his staff] have done a terrific job so far," Mooy added. "We enjoy the training, it's tough.
"We're all learning new things, especially from someone like Van Bommel, a midfielder who played at the highest level. I'm learning a lot from him."
