Two-time ISL champion, ATK has signed Nigerian forward Kalu Uche, as the first signing for the upcoming 2018-19 season of the Indian Super League (ISL).

Uche has had a long playing career with a number of football clubs in the world, starting with Enyimba International F.C. and Iwuanyanwu Nationale, followed by other clubs like Badger State la Krakow, UD Almeria, Sevilla, Neuchatel Xamax and Kasımpasa SK. He has also represented Nigeria in the FIFA World Cup 2010, held in South Africa.

He finished as the leading goal-scorer, for Delhi Dynamos, in the just-concluded season of the ISL, where he scored 13 goals. “I am thrilled to be part of ATK and be associated with a city where football is a religion. The fans here understand the game and I am eager to contribute to the two-time champion team. I hope to give my best and continue with scoring goals,” said Uche, according to an ATK press release .
