Everton forward Romelu Lukaku is close to switch to Manchester United.

Manchester United is only a few details away from completing a deal to sign Everton striker Romelu Lukaku, according to reports.

A reported £75 million fee has been agreed between the two sides in a deal where United skipper Wayne Rooney would return to his boyhood club.

The Everton forward would join forces with former boss Jose Mourinho, who had sold him to Everton in 2014 during his stint with Chelsea.

The United management is hopeful that the transfer could be completed before the Red Devils head for their pre-season tour of the United States on Saturday.

Lukaku scored 25 goals in the Premier League last season and is seen as a replacement for the injured Zlatan Ibrahimovic, who was released by United last month.
