Santosh Trophy final: Bikash Thapa secures title for Services

The tournament final was decided by a solitary goal, which came in the 61st minute.

Services emerged the winner of the 2018-19 Santosh Trophy, with Bikash Thapa's 61st-minute strike deciding the contest. Services beat Punjab the last time these two teams met in the final of this tounament, securing the trophy in 2014-15 with a 5-4 shootout victory.


Thapa's goal was created by Lallawmkima, who got the ball on the edge of the area and squared for Thapa to slot home calmly.

Punjab had a couple of chances to score after Thapa's opener, but Services held on to win the title.

This is the sixth time Services has won the Santosh Trophy, finishing runner-up on five of the 11 occasions it has reached the final.
