Jessel Carneiro has joined ISL side Kerala Blasters from Dempo Sporting Club.

Kerala Blasters FC has signed Goan footballer Jessel Carneiro from Dempo Sporting Club for the upcoming season of the Indian Super League (ISL).

The 29-year-old left-back captained Goa during the 2018-19 Santosh Trophy held in Punjab where his team finished second.

Jessel has previously played for Salgaocar, FC Pune and Dempo SC.

"I am very happy to be a part of Kerala Blasters FC for my debut season of the Indian Super League. This is going to be a turning point in my football career and I’m looking forward to an exciting and challenging season with the club. My focus will be to align with the goals of the club and will put in the best of my abilities to achieve the same with the team," said Jessel.

"Jessel is a potent addition to Kerala Blasters FC. He is surely going to be an asset to the team in defense. I am very happy to have signed him and look forward to working with him", said Ishfaq Ahmed, Kerala Blasters assistant coach.
