Defending champion Anindith Reddy of Hyderabad and Chennai’s Vishnu Prasad shared a race win each in the Euro JK 17 class, the premier event of the 20th JK Tyre National racing championship at the Kari Motor Speedway Circuit here on Sunday.

Anindith, who rattled the calculation of a determined Vishnu Prasad from Chennai the other day, kept the momentum going with a fluid win in the opening race of the day.

Vishnu did challenge him but Anindith kept his cool to take the chequered flag and a full ten points to keep his top slot on the table intact.

But Vishnu came back strongly later to outsmart Anindith and finish the day on a merry note. The Chennai youngster made up for Saturday's

loss by collecting 18 points to keep his chances alive for the overall title. It is 14 points that separate the top two. Anindith holds the edge going into the grand finale at BIC in November but Vishnu believes the game is not over yet.

Double for Diljith

T.S. Diljith of Dark Don Racing finished for a creditable double in the LGB Formula 4 class, He started from pole in the first race and fought hard to win it. But in the second race he was dominant all the way.

Meanwhile, championship leader Joseph Mathew of Chennai suffered his first defeat in the Suzuki Gixxer Cup and it came from the hands of Aizawl's Malsawmdawngliana. The story was quite similar for leader Lalhruaizela in the Red Bull Road to Rookie Cup. He was upstaged by both Jaden Gunawardena and Lalnunsanga but that did not matter as he had already booked his all-expenses paid trip to Spain for the prestigous Road to MotoGP qualifiers next month.
