International footballer, Bhaichung Bhutia is most likely to light the Games flame at the opening ceremony of the 12th South Asian Games to be held at the Indira Gandhi stadium, Sarusajai, here on Friday.

Highly placed sources told Sportstar on Thursday that a team of five or six runners will be involved in the final lap of bringing the Games torch to the stadium and this would include Gagan Narang (shooting), Monalisa Mehta-Barua (table tennis), Bhogeswar Baura, Krishna Poonia and Anju Bobby George (all athletics) prior to handing over the same to Bhutia for the putting the final touches.

It was also hinted that the lighting of the Games flame will involve technology never seen in the country before in multi-discipline sporting events.
