IOA president N. Ramachandran reacted strongly to secretary Rajiv Mehta calling for EC and AGM meeting to be shifted from Chennai to Delhi. Speaking to Sportstar on Saturday, Ramachandran said it is improper for the secretary to call for such a meeting when the president has already called for one.

"As per the IOA constitution, I have the authority to decide the time, date and venue for AGM and as regards the EC meeting, I will direct him [Rajiv]," he said.
When queried about the discussion on the notice for expulsion of the IOA President moved by Hockey India, Ramachandran said "it is not in the agenda of the AGM."
