Just a week after lifting his seventh PSA title, India's Vikram Malhotra triumphed in the Texas Open, a PSA challenger, on Sunday.
Vikram beat Daniel Mekbeb of Czeck Republic over five games 11-6, 2-11, 5-11, 15-13, 11-1. This is the eighth PSA title of his career and third this year after winning the Atlanta Open in February and more recently, triumphing in the Aspin Cup in Canada.

The fourth seeded Indian got past three players enroute to the final, after recieving a first-round bye. He defeated Syed Hamzad Bukhari of Pakistan in the second round, followed by Reuben Phillips of England in the quarterfinals.
In the semi-final, he fought his way past Pakistani Shahjahan Khan (11-6, 9-11, 11-5, 11-6) who defeated the top seed Ramit Tandon in the quarterfinals.
Vikram won the Aspin Cup beating world junior champion Mostafa Asal. He defeated the third seed and higher-ranked player 11-3, 11-9, 9-11, 11-9.
