India’s Leander Paes and Scott Lipsky of U.S. defeated French pair of Laurent Lokoli and Maxime Janvier in straight sets to enter the semifinals of the Bordeaux Challenger.
The Indo-American duo prevailed over Lokoli-Janvier pair 6-4, 6-4 in the quarterfinals. Paes and Lipsky will be up against all-Indian pair of Purav Raja and Divij Sharan in the semifinal.
Raja and Sharan defeated Australian combination of Alex Bolt Thanasi Kokkinakis 6-2, 6-7 (4), 10-6 in a keenly-contested last eight encounter.
There was more success for Indian doubles players, as Prajnesh Gunneswaran-Vishnu Vardhan and Ramkumar Ramanathan made the doubles semifinals in the $75,000 Challenger in Uzbekistan, after having tasted early defeat in singles.
