Usain Bolt is adamant he will not reconsider his decision to retire from athletics after the 2017 World Championships in London, rejecting comparisons with Rio comeback king Michael Phelps.
Bolt, who is set to hang up his well-worn running spikes after the prestigious meet in August next year, has nine Olympic gold medals to his name.
American swimming great Phelps reversed his decision to retire after London 2012 and added five more golds at this year's Games in Brazil to take his extraordinary overall tally to 23.
Bolt, though, has insisted he will not be tempted to return to the big stage in Tokyo in 2020.
"That will not happen," the 30-year-old told Sport Bild.
"I won't know how to motivate myself by then. I don't have to prove anything to anyone."
Of Phelps, he added: "His swimming can't be compared with my running. Swimming is something natural. Michael will continue to swim after his retirement.
"But 100 and 200 meters of running, this is nothing natural. If you stop this, you don't start again. At least I will not."
Bolt also paid tribute to the services of esteemed German doctor Hans-Wilhelm Muller-Wohlfahrt in helping the Jamaican to stay in peak condition.
"Without Mull, I could not have won my three gold medals in Rio," he said.
"He is almost a family member. I trust him 100 percent."
