Andy Murray remained positive after his long winning run was ended by Novak Djokovic in the Qatar Open final on Saturday, but knows he must be more clinical.

Djokovic won 6-3, 5-7, 6-4 in the first match between the two since Murray confirmed his year-end number one ranking by coming out on top in the ATP World Tour Finals last November.

Twelve-time grand slam champion Djokovic's success brought a halt to Murray's 28-match winning run just over a week before the Australian Open begins.

Wimbledon and Olympic champion Murray took the positives out of his run to yet another final, but was left to rue only being able to convert two of seven break-point opportunities.

The Briton said: "Obviously I'm disappointed not to win, but I played pretty good the last couple of the matches. I think physically it was a good test to start the year and I did good there.

"My body feels all right just now, so that's positive. There are things I can do better. I wasn't that clinical on break points this week, which maybe that comes with playing a few more matches.

"That was the difference this evening. That's something I could definitely do a little bit better," said Murray.
