Vijender invites Haryana CM for India debut bout

Indian boxing star Vijender Singh, on Sunday, invited Haryana Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar for his WBO Asia title bout in New Delhi in June.

Indian boxing star Vijender Singh, on Sunday, invited Haryana Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar for his WBO Asia title bout here on June 11.

Vijender has already invited Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Delhi CM Arvind Kejriwal and cricket icon Sachin Tendulkar. “Our Chief Minister congratulated me for the four consecutive wins in my professional career so far and he watched all four of them. I am happy that our Chief Minister is very positive about my pro career,” Vijender said after meeting Khattar.

“I have invited him for my 11 June fight and Chief Minister has assured me for his presence during the fight. I thanked him for his support to me in starting my professional career and also congratulating me after every fight on social media platforms.

“He wished me good luck for my next two fights on April 30 and May 13 in UK. Mr. Khattar also assured me his full support in future,” he added.

Vijender is all set to leave for Manchester on Monday.
