A new feather is set to be added to Mahendra Singh Dhoni’s cap later this week. Come Saturday, November 11, and the erstwile India captain will inaugurate his first global cricket academy — The Mahendra Singh Dhoni cricket Academy— in Dubai and conduct a special cricket clinic with the budding cricketers the next day.
In August, MS Dhoni’s company had struck a partnership with the Dubai-based Pacific Ventures to set up the academy at the Springdales School campus.
“The academy is in perfect shape and it will be a big thing for UAE cricket do have an academy run by a legend like Dhoni,” Parvez Khan, the director of Pacific Ventures, told Sportstar .

Ever since Sportstar reported about Dhoni's decision to expand his cricket academy out of India, his fans have been excited about the stumper-batsman's new project. “This is the first step. We will be trying to expanding the academy in parts of South Africa and the United Kingdom too,” Khan said.
After the T20 series against New Zealand gets over on Tuesday, Dhoni will reach Dubai on Friday evening. It is learnt that during his two-day visit, Dhoni will also interact with young players about the nitty-grittys of the game.
