CA XI vs India Tour game Day 2: As it happened

Indian batsmen had good prep ahead of the Test series as the visitor put up 358 in a warm-up game against Cricket Australia XI.

• That brings us to the end of the second day's play. It's been a good day in the office for Virat Kohli's men as five batsmen, including the skipper himself, got to half-centuries. 

• STUMPS on day two. CA XI is on 24/0 at the end of day two with Max Bryant unbeaten on 14, while D'Arcy Short is batting on 10. CA XI trails by 334 runs.

• CA XI is at 22/0 at the end of four overs. Mohammed Shami and Umesh Yadav have begun the proceedings for India.

• India is bowled out for 358. Prithvi Shaw was the top scorer for India with 66, while Virat Kohli, Ajinkya Rahane, Cheteshwar Pujara and Hanuma Vihari also struck half-centuries.  Aaron Hardie picked up four wickets for the home side.

• Ajinkya Rahane scores a patient half-century off 115 deliveries. India 337/5 in 84.4 overs.

• Rohit Sharma is the new man in.

• Hanuma Vihari departs for 53 off 88 deliveries at the stoke of Tea. India 306/5.

• WICKET - Aaron Hardie takes a brilliant caught and bowled catch to dismiss the India skipper. Virat Kohli departs for 64 off 87 deliveries. India 209/4 at the end of 49 overs.

• Virat Kohli hits Fifty - India skipper Virat Kohli has started his Australia tour in fine fashion with an unbeaten fifty. Kohli, in company with Ajinkya Rahane is batting on 51 off 80 deliveries. He has hit five boundaries and a six at a strike rate of 67.9. India 194/3 at the end of 46 overs.

• Ajinkya Rahane is the new man in.

• WICKET - Luke Robins strikes to castle Cheteshwar Pujara immediately after Lunch. Pujara departs for 54 off 89 deliveries. India 169/3.

• That's the end of the first session with India at 169/2. Prithvi Shaw was impressive with a brisk fifty and so as Cheteshwar Pujara who is batting on 54 along with his skipper Virat Kohli, unbeaten on 41.

• Virat Kohli and Cheteshwar Pujara have added 34 runs in 48 deliveries. India is moving ahead at a run rate of 4.56 per over. India 130/2 in 29 overs.

• Virat Kohli has opened his account and after playing a few dot balls, the India skipper hits a boundary and then follows it with a six. India 127/2 in 27 overs.

• Cheteshwar Pujara has found the sweet spot of his bat as he moves to 40 in 51 deliveries. Kohli is yet to open his account. 

• India skipper Virat Kohli joins Cheteshwar Pujara in the middle.

• WICKET - Daniel Fallins bowls a peach of a delivery to castle Prithvi Shaw. Shaw was looking good and after playing a couple of maiden overs, he tries to get on top of the bowler but in the process perishes. Shaw out for 66 off 69 deliveries. He hit 11 boundaries en route to his half-century. India 106/2 in 23 overs.
