The last few days have seen quite a few local talents turning net bowlers, and Tamil Nadu cricket’s new boy wonder, Washington Sundar, was the latest addition to the list.

On Sunday, as India hit the nets at Chennai's M.A. Chidambaram stadium, Washington was seen bowling a few overs to the Indian batsmen.

The young all-rounder, who shot to fame during his stint with the Rising Pune Supergiant in the Indian Premier League (IPL), is being touted as the next big thing in Indian cricket.

While he chose not to speak much about the proceedings, Washington was seen exchanging smiles with the likes of Mahendra Singh Dhoni and Ajinkya Rahane - his team-mates at the Pune franchise.

Post IPL success, Washington has had a good run in the local league and the Tamil Nadu Premier League (TNPL) too. And with the Indian team using him as one of the net-bowlers, it would definitely keep the young gun in the big mix.
