Here's our review of the game:

Kolkata Knight Riders beats Sunrisers Hyderabad by 7 wickets.

That's it Eoin Morgan hits a six and follows up with a boundary as Kolkata bounces back to register its first win in the tournament.  Shubman Gill dropped anchor with an unbeaten half-century and along with Eoin Morgan forged a 92-run stand to gun down a target of 143 with two overs to spare.

Shubman Gill hit his U-19 World Cup teammate Abhishek Sharma for a huge maximum and Kolkata is chopping down the target, rather relatively easily. Kolkata 131/3 after 17 overs.

It's getting easy for KKR and it is riding on the brilliance of SHubman Gill's splendid half-century to record a massive win. Kolkata 120/3 after 16 overs.

Eoin Morgan comes to the party with a brilliant six as 11 runs come from Bhuvneshwar Kumar's over. Kolkata now requires 30 off 30 deliveries. Kolkata 113/3 after 15 overs.

Morgan and Gill have decided not to give Nabi a wicket and they have done an exceptional job while playing spin. Kolkata 102/3 after 14 overs.

Fifty for Shubman Gill: A fierce cut through point gets Shubman Gill to his half-century and what a fine fifty this has been. Anchored the chase and played with a cool head. Kolkata 97/3 after 13 overs.

Excellent ploy from Morgan and Gill as they have so far successfully denied Nabi and Rashid any further wickets and the game is slipping slowly away from Hyderabad's grip. Kolkata 89/3 after 12 overs.

Shubman Gill and Eoin Morgan are playing safely, with minimal risks and they don't require to play anything extraordinary. Kolkata requires 71 runs from 60 deliveries. Kolkata72/3 after 10 overs.

Morgan has decided to employ the sweep and it has worked as he pockets a boundary off Rashid. Kolkata 67/3 after 9 overs.

Well, the Afghans are at work as Mohammad Nabi tests both Morgan and Gill. Kolkata will aim to play Nabi and Rashid safely and then take the attack to the opposition. Kolkata 60/3 after 8 overs.

Excellent start from Rashid Khan as he gets a wicket and gives just three runs. Hyderabad's best bowler in the middle overs has to come up with a bag of tricks. Hyderabad 55/3 after 7 overs.

WICKET! Hyderabad unleashes its trump card in Rashid Khan and he traps Dinesh Karthik for a duck. The KKR skipper took the review, rather hesitantly but the on-field decision stays.

Runs are coming thick and fast and Hyderabad needs wickets in cluster to stop Kolkata. Kolkata 52/2 after 6 overs.

WICKET! T Natarajan packs off Nitish Rana who looked solid but ended up edging to Saha behind the stumps. Dinesh Karthik joins Shubman Gill. Kolkata 43/2 after 5 overs.

Khaleel Ahmed got the breakthrough but he is paying the price of straying in line as both Shubman Gill and Nitish Rana have got their eye in. Kolkata up and running in chase of 143. KKR 38/1 after 4 overs.

Expensive over from Bhuvneshwar Kumar, given the target KKR is chasing. Shubman Gill is looking good and Nitish Rana has been impressive since arrival. Kolkata 24/1 after 3 overs.

Shubman Gill smokes Khaleel Ahmed for a maximum and what a shot.. Gets down the track and just goes through the shot as the ball flies over long-on. Nitish Rana joins Gill. Kolkata 12/1 after 2 overs.

WICKET! Khaleel Ahmed gives the perfect start for Sunrisers as he gets Sunil Narine for a duck. A top edge and skipper Warner settles underneath the ball without any discomfort.

A flick through the square leg and Shubman Gill is away as KKR begins its chase of 143. Kolkata 6/0 after 1 over.

We are back for the chase and Kolkata requires a modest 143 to register its first win. Shubman Gill and Sunil Narine walk out and it will be Bhuvneshwar Kumar with the new ball. Remember, SRH has defended low totals in the past and KKR should bat sensibly to overhaul the target.

End of Innings: SRH 142/4 after 20 Overs. Excellent bowling performance by Kolkata Knight Riders as it restricts Sunrisers Hyderabad to 142/4. Manish Pandey played a wonderful knock with a half-century but Hyderabad would have loved to score at least another 20-30 runs more. Back for the chase shortly.

Excellent penultimate over from Shivam Mavi as the young fast bowler gives just six runs including a wide. Hyderabad clearly lacking the spunk in the final overs. Hyderabad 133/3 after 19 overs.

Wicket! Andre Russell has got the big wicket of Manish Pandey who departs immediately after his half-century. Big surprised Pandey with a full toss just below the waist. The umpires waited before declaring the batsman out. Mohammad Nabi joins Saha. Hyderabad 127/3 after 18 overs.

Fifty for Manish Pandey: It's been a hard work from Manish Pandey and he gets to his fifty with a single.. He holds the key on a pitch where runs are coming slightly in a difficult way. Hyderabad 118/2 after 17 overs.

Wriddhiman Saha decides to go for a big shot and he deposits Varun Chakravarthy for a maximum over the deep mid-wicket. But, the young spinner finishes with excellent figures of 4-0-25-1. He has done his job. Hyderabad 110/2 after 16 overs.

Sunil Narine finishes his quota of four overs, recording decent returns 4-0-31-0. Kolkata will be happpy with the way the game is moving but Hyderabad will go for the charge with five more to go. Hyderabad 99/2 after 15 overs.

Manish Pandey breaks away from the schakles with a boundary and a good over for Hyderabad as 11 comes from the Nagarkoti over. Hyderabad 93/2 after 14 overs.

Spinners have chocked the Hyderabad batsmen and both Saha and Pandy are in desperate need for boundaries. Narine, Kuldeep and Varun doing a fabulous job and are peeling off some very important overs. Hyderabad 82/3 after 13 overs.

Manish Pandey manages to squeeze a boundary but Varun Chakravarthy has been exceptional with his line. Saha needs to get a move on as he is 6 off 11 deliveries. Hyderabad 76/2 after 12 overs.

There's a slight dip in momentum but Hyderabad will believe they have the arsenal to tee off. Meanwhile, Kolkata will be very happy with the way things are going and a wicket here will put pressure on SRH. Hyderabad 68/2 after 11 overs.

Right then will this be Varun Chakravarthy's night? He has bowled excellently so far giving just six runs and removing the big fish - David Warner in his two overs. Hyderabad 61/2 after 10 overs.

WICKET! Varun Chakravarthy gets the prized scalp of David Warner, is first IPL wicket and what a start by the young Tamil Nadu spinner. The finger spinner does the trick and Warner spoons a simple catch to the bowler. Wriddhiman Saha joins Manish Pandey.

Manish Pandey has decided to go after Kuldeep Yadav and he connects one really well over long-on as the 50 comes up for Hyderabad. Hyderabad 59/1 after 9 overs.

Varun Chakravarthy starts off brilliantly and has bowled an immaculate line, not giving the batsmen any room. The boundaries have dried up in the last couple of overs as four comes from the over. Hyderabad 49/1 after 8 overs.

Good start by Kuldeep Yadav as he gives just five from his first over and most importantly, didn't concede a boundary. Hyderabad 45/1 after 7 overs.

End of PowerPlay: Decent start by Hyderabad as Warner has got into the groove but it lost Bairstow. However, Manish Pandey has shown signs of brilliance. Hyderabad 40/1 after 6 overs.

Manish Pandey gets off the mark in style with a stylish pull over the cow corner and this is going to be a very crucial partnership for SRH. Hyderabad 33/1 after 5 overs.

WICKET! Pat Cummins castles Jonny Bairstow to give Kolkata an early breakthrough. Bairstow was successful in overturning an umpire's call the previous delivery but the very next ball Cummins hits the right length and the ball goes past the gap to disturb the stumps. Manish Pandey joins Warner. Hyderabad 24/1 after 4 overs.

Warner gets going as he smacks Narine for a huge six over wide long-on and then pulls the spinner through the mid-on to give Hyderabad a fine start. Hyderabad 22/0 after 3 overs.

Pitch Report: Ian Bishop and JP Duminy reckon there is more of a pronounced green grass covering but there hasn't been a lot of swing with the new ball, it will be interesting to see how it goes. Bishop says, the only advantage down the ground is that the wind will push the ball when you hit it. Overall it's a beautiful surface.

Coming off defeats in their opening games,  Kolkata Knight Riders  (KKR) and  Sunrisers Hyderabad  (SRH) will lock horns at the Sheikh Zayed Stadium in Abu Dhabi in the Indian Premier League (IPL) on Saturday.

Despite the 49-run loss to Mumbai Indians, skipper Dinesh Karthik stressed that he didn’t want to get too analytical. KKR’s key foreign players – Eoin Morgan, Andre Russell and Pat Cummins – struggled against Mumbai. Having finished their mandatory quarantine periods closer to the contest, they did not have enough time at the nets.
