A.B. De Villiers struck a quickfire 68 off 30 deliveries as RCB posted a gargantuan 205 against Chennai Super Kings at the Chinnaswamy Stadium on Wednesday. Ahead of CSK's herculean chase, we go back in time to revisit the two instances when Chennai successfully chased down a total in excess of 200.

1. 208/5 in 20.0 overs against RCB (205/8) in Chennai in 2012

Batting first, RCB put up 205 on the board thanks to fifties by Mayank Agarwal, Chris Gayle and Virat Kohli at the top. CSK, however, made light work of the target, romping home with five wickets to spare. Faf Du Plessis (71, 54b) and M.S. Dhoni (41, 41b) starred with the bat while Albie Morkel - then with CSK - plundered 28 off one Kohli over to take Chennai home.

2. 205/5 in 19.5 overs against Kolkata Knight Riders (202/6) in Chennai in 2018

Andre Russell's lone hand (88, 36 b, 11x6, 1x4) went in vain as Sam Billings powered (56, 23 b, 5x6, 2x4)  Chennai Super Kings  (CSK) to a thrilling five-wicket victory over  Kolkata Knight Riders  (KKR) in its first home game - since returning from the ban - at the M.A. Chidambaram Stadium.
