Rohit Sharma is set to surpass M.S. Dhoni as the most capped T20I player for India. The match against Bangladesh at the Arun Jaitley Stadium in New Delhi on Sunday will be Rohit's 99th game.

The flamboyant right-hander will lead India in the three-match series in Virat Kohli’s absence. Sharma has racked up 2443 runs in 98 T20Is at a strike-rate of 136.55. He has 17 fifties and four hundreds.

Rohit Sharma recently broke into the top 10 for Test batsmen in the ICC rankings after amassing 529 runs in his first four innings against South Africa.

Sharma, who is 10th in Tests, second in ODIs, and joint-seventh in T20Is, is only the third Indian after Virat Kohli and Gautam Gambhir to be in the top 10 across formats.
