Sri Lanka batsman Kaushal Silva has been discharged from hospital with a "clean bill of health" after a blow to the head left him with a mild concussion.
Silva was airlifted to hospital as a precaution after being hit on the head during a Sri Lanka training session in Pallekele.
However, scans have revealed no long-term damage and the 29-year-old is set to return to practice next week.
"Sri Lanka Cricket is happy to announce that batsman Kaushal Silva has been discharged from hospital in Colombo having been issued a clean bill of health by medical experts," read a statement.
"Specialists attending to him have confirmed that he suffered 'a mild concussion' and has now been completely cleared to resume physical activity after being kept under strict observation for the past 36 hours.
"Silva was airlifted to Colombo on Sunday after being hit on the head by a ball whilst fielding at short leg during a practice match at the Pallakelle International Cricket Stadium, where the Sri Lanka team was in a residential practice and training camp in preparation for their tour to England.
"Silva will be completely rested for a further two days, and will gradually restart training with mild gym and ground activity, and is expected to resume batting practice by early next week."
Sri Lanka is set to face England in a three-Test series with the first contest taking place at Headingley between May 19 and 23.
