Australian batsman Adam Voges has resigned to the fact that he may never be back get back to the Test team.

Australia batsman Adam Voges accepts his international career is over after being dropped from the Test team.

Voges, 37, was axed after a dismal Test loss to South Africa in Hobart in November and Australia has won four consecutive five-day matches since.

The right-hander, who has played 20 Tests and made 1,485 runs, said he knew it was unlikely he would regain a spot. "I'm done in terms of international cricket. I can probably acknowledge the fact I'm not getting back in the side," Voges told Fairfax .

"I'm realistic enough to understand my performances weren't up to scratch in my last few Tests and we lost those games which means there is always going to be change. It's always disappointing to get dropped or left out of the side, but there was only one person to blame and that was me."

Voges struggled in the first two Tests against South Africa, making just 30 runs at an average of 7.5.

However, he averages 61.87 in his Test career, with five centuries.

Voges also played in 31 one-day internationals and seven Twenty20s for Australia.
