I-League: Lajong sign Fabio, Yusuke

Shillong Lajong Football Club today announced the signings of Brazilian forward Fabio Pena Henrique and Japanese defender Yusuke Yamagata.

Shillong Lajong Football Club today announced the signings of Brazilian forward Fabio Pena Henrique and Japanese defender Yusuke Yamagata.

Fabio, who played for five years in Japan from 2010-2014, will be the second South American to play for the Reds this season, alongside Uilliams Souza.

Yusuke is a versatile Japanese defender who played in Japan, Cambodia and most recently Laos.

Commenting on the signings, Lajong head coach Thangboi said: “Fabio will give us more height and prowess up front and his strong work ethics will help the team defensively too. Yusuke’s experience and leadership will bolster our defence.”
