CK Vineeth joins Jamshedpur

Midfielder CK Vineeth signed for Indian Super League outfit Jamshedpur FC after his loan spell at Chennaiyin FC.

CK Vineeth leaves Chennaiyin following the end of his loan spell from Kerala Blasters, to join Jamshedpur.

Jamshedpur FC announced the signing of midfielder CK Vineeth from Chennaiyin FC on Monday.

Vineeth played six games for Chennaiyin while on loan at the club last season. The midfielder represented Kerala Blasters prior to his move to Chennai, where he won a runners-up medal in the 2016 season of the Indian Super League (ISL).

Vineeth also has two I-League titles (2014, 2016) and two Federation Cups (2015, 2017) to his name, from his time at then I-League side Bengaluru FC.

Joining Jamshedpur, he said: It’s an exciting opportunity for me to play for Jamshedpur. I have been here twice whilst playing for Kerala Blasters in the last two seasons and the atmosphere at The Furnace was absolutely brilliant.

"It’s a highly challenging space and ground for any opposing team and it will be exciting to be on the other side this season. I want to put my best foot forward and contribute as much as I can for the team and bring out the finest of my game to this awesome city and club.”

Speaking of Vineeth's arrival at the club, head coach Antonio Iriondo said, “Vineeth is a proven player.
