Birendra Baishya re-elected as IWF president

Birendra Prasad Baishya, the Indian Weightlifting Federation, has been re-elected as an Executive Board member of the International Weightlifting Federation.

Baishya is also the vice-president of Commonwealth Weightlifting Federation.

Indian Weightlifting Federation (IWLF) president Birendra Prasad Baishya has been re-elected as an Executive Board member of the International Weightlifting Federation (IWF).

In the recently-concluded IWF electoral congress at Bangkok, Baishya, who also holds the posts of vice-president in the Commonwealth Weightlifting Federation (CWF), an executive member in the Asian Weightlifting Federation (AWF) and vice-president in the Indian Olympic Association (IOA), was re-elected for the second consecutive term (2017-2021).
