Velavan Senthilkumar (medallist at the Commonwealth Youth Games and national u-19 champion in 2015) and Harinder Pal Sandhu (maiden title in the ’15 senior nationals and a key player in India’s historic gold medal win at the Incheon Asian Games 2014) were declared the ‘Player of the year’ award winners for the year 2015 and 2014 respectively at the Indian Squash Academy annual day function held here on Friday.

Awards in various categories for the performances in the two previous years were given out on the occasion.
Other awardees: Most promising male: 2014: Velavan Senthilkumar (two international titles); 2015: Abhay Singh (seven titles). Most promising female: 2014: Abhisheka Shannon (u-11 national champ); 2015: R. Pooja Arthi (u-11 national champion).
