WSF World Team Men's Championship: India beats Austria to get off to bright start

India got its WSF World Team Championship campaign off to a bright start with a 3-0 win over Austria and faces Malaysia in its next tie.

A solid performance by India saw it beat Austria 3-0 in the opening Pool-H match on Monday, the inaugural day of the WSF-world men's team squash championship being held here.

India rested its number one player Saurav Ghosal and that left the remaining three Vikram Malhotra, Harinder Pal Sandhu and Mahesh Mangaonkar to take the court.

India next plays Malaysia in this three-team pool.

Group H - India bt Austra 3-0 (Mahesh Mangaonkar bt Paul Mairinger 11-0, 11-6, 11-1; Harinder Pal Sandhu bt Jakob Dimberger 11-9, 11-6, 11-6; Vikram Malhotra bt Aqeel Rehman 11-6, 11-5, 11-1).
