Steve Johnson earned the biggest win of his career by upsetting fourth seed Richard Gasquet 7-6 (7-2) 6-2 at Queen's on Monday.
The wet weather in London caused havoc with the schedule at the famous grass-court tournament, with three of four scheduled first-round matches suspended until Tuesday.
But American Johnson, who was previously 0-13 against top-10 players, was all smiles despite the wet weather after defeating Gasquet, a quarter-finalist at the recent French Open.
Gasquet had set-point at 5-4 in the first set before a lengthy delay, and it was Johnson who found his groove after the break, first fighting back to take the opener before breaking twice in a one-sided second set.
Johnson now goes on to face the winner of the match between Guillermo Garcia-Lopez and Alexandr Dolgopolov.
