Bopanna-Matkowski through to doubles quarters in Dubai

Rohan Bopanna has progressed to the doubles quarterfinals after a tough win in Dubai.

Rohan Bopanna and partner Marcin Matkowski of Poland beat the second seeds Ivan Dodig of Croatia and Marcel Granollers of Spain 5-7, 6-3, 11-9 in the doubles pre-quarterfinals of the $2,617,160 ATP event in Dubai on Tuesday.

Prarthana Thombare, in partnership with Abbie Myers of Australia, moved into the doubles quarterfinals of a $25,000 ITF women’s event in Australia.

Karman Kaur Thandi made the pre-quarterfinals with a three-set victory over Andrea Ka of Cambodia in Spain.
