Stan Wawrinka clinched his third consecutive Chennai Open title. He now has four titles in all (the most by any player).

The crowd, as they had been throughout the tournament, favoured the defending champion.

Borna Coric put up a valiant fight before going down to Wawrinka.

India's only ATP event is set to continue next year and Wawrinka has indicated his participation as well.
