Pro Volleyball League moves out of Jaipur

It is learnt that the Sawai Man Singh Stadium in Jaipur is under renovation and will be out of bounds for at least four months.

Jaipur will not host the Pro Volleyball League (PVL) as scheduled, Ramavtar Singh Jakhar, secretary, Volleyball Federation of India (VFI) said on Monday. The league will be held from September 15 to October 10.

Speaking to Sportstar , Jakhar said as the Sawai Man Singh Stadium in Jaipur is under renovation, it will be out of bounds for at least four months. Chennai and Bhubaneswar have emerged as the frontrunners for hosting the second leg. The first leg will be held in Kochi.

“The renovation work is likely to be completed by December or January, 2018,” Jakhar said.

It is learnt that Baseline Ventures did a recce of the Nehru Indoor Stadium here a couple of weeks ago.
