Estoril Open: Ferrer in last four

David Ferrer will face Pablo Carreno Busta in the semifinals.

Spain’s David Ferrer, fourth seed at the Estoril Open, defeated American Ryan Harrison to face his compatriot, Pablo Carreno Busta, in the semifinals of the Estoril tennis tournament.

Ferrer defeated his opponent 6-4, 6-0 in one hour and 11 minutes. In the semifinals, the Spaniard will face Carreno, who also eliminated his fellow-countryman Nicolas Almagro, the winner in Estoril last year when both met in the final.

Ferrer’s entry to the semifinals also ensures that one of the finalists of this ATP-250 tournament will be Spanish.
