The Board of Control for Cricket in India has invited applications for the post of head coach for the Indian team. The contract for the current head coach, Anil Kumble, ends with the ICC Champions Trophy in June. According to the communique by the BCCI, Kumble “will be a direct entry for the process”.
Aspirants have been asked to send their applications by May 31. The Cricket Advisory Committee - comprising of Sachin Tendulkar, Sourav Ganguly and V.V.S. Laxman - “will conduct interviews and seek presentations to select the best possible candidate”. The process of selection and appointment will be overseen by the Committee of Administrators (CoA).
