Toss: England captain Eoin Morgan has won the toss and has opted to field first at Trent Bridge, Nottingham in match 6 of the 2019 ICC Cricket World Cup.

Team news: For England, Liam Plunkett is out and Mark Wood comes in. Shoaib Malik and Asif Ali come into the team in place of Haris Sohail and Imad Wasim for Pakistan.

Pitch report: "This has been a pitch that the bowlers have struggled to defend on and the reason for that is the longer dimensions at the pavillion end. Square boundaries are very short and that makes things difficult for the bowling side. This is a lot drier and harder surface. Good for batting and the bowlers will struggle. Lot of variations needed as a bowler. Win the toss and bat," reckon Kumar Sangakkara and Wasim Akram.

Weather: The sun is out, not many clouds in the sky. It is a beautiful sunny day to play cricket as opposed to what it was when Pakistan last played here.

Quotes:

Eoin Morgan: We're gonna bowl first. Looks a good wicket and the dimensions are smaller than The Oval. So we need to look at all that. We have one change - Wood comes in for Plunkett. Reason for this is the genuine pace that he provides. A bit yes and also he bowled well in the recent series against them. We're always looking to improve and striving to give a perfect performance. Of course you don't get near to it all the time but if you try to get there, you're in a good space.

Sarfaraz Ahmed: I also wanted to bowl first. Looks a good batting pitch, so we're hoping to put runs on the board and defend. I think it's a one-off performance and hoping to get things right today. Yes, we batted well against them in the recent series and hopefully, that will continue.
