Caribbean pinch-hitter Sunil Narine smashed the fastest 50 of this season's IPL, bringing up the milestone in only 15 balls, against the Royal Challengers Bangalore on Sunday.

Opening the batting with Narine, Aussie Chris Lynn also scored a 50 as they blazed to 105 for no loss within the first six overs. KKR made small work of the target of 159, winning the game in the 16th over.

Earlier in the first innings, Travis Head rescued the home side as he top-scored for RCB with a 47-ball 75, helping the side reach a respectable total of 158 for 6.

Hashim Amla scored his second ton of the tournament, scoring 104 off just 60 balls, helping the team reach 189.

Dwayne Smith provided the perfect start, getting Gujarat off to a flier chasing a big target.

Dinesh Karthik played a solid hand to help Gujarat cross the finish line.
