Ishant bowls at India nets, meets team physio

Indian speedster Ishant Sharma, who is not part of the current Indian ODI squad facing West Indies, went to Visakhapatnam to meet team physio Patrick Farhart and also bowled in the nets.

Fast bowler Ishant Sharma joined the Indian team's net session at ADA-VDCA Stadium here on Tuesday. It was learnt that Ishant, who is not part of the ODI squad, came to the city to meet with team physio Patrick Farhart and to test his fitness.

The pacer is recovering from an ankle injury sustained during the England tour last month. On the fourth day of the fifth Test at Kennington Oval, Ishant bowled one over before leaving the field. He did not return to bowl.

On Tuesday, Ishant bowled off a short run-up to the likes of Rishabh Pant, Shikhar Dhawan and others. Though he did not go at full tilt, he generated good pace.
