Jhulan Goswami has become the highest wicket-taker in women’s one-day cricket. She achieved the feat with figures of 3/20 against South Africa - taking her tally to 181 wickets - surpassing Australia’s Cathryn Fitzpatrick.
Goswami has been one of India’s best bowlers, and also has 40 Test scalps and 50 T20 wickets to her name, besides this she has an outstanding economy of 3.18 in one-day international cricket.
India along with South Africa, Ireland and Zimbabwe is taking part in a quadrangular one-day series, Goswami’s three wickets helped India restrict South Africa to 119.
Her three scalps were Nadine de Klerk, Masabata Klaas and Raisibe Ntozakhe.
