Mashrafe Mortaza does not feel Bangladesh owes England an apology ahead of the one-day international series decider after a fiery clash in Dhaka on Sunday.
Tigers captain Mortaza and batsman Sabbir Rahman were fined 20 per cent of their match fees by the International Cricket Council following an incident involving England skipper Jos Buttler.
Buttler was not impressed with what he felt were "over the top" celebrations from Bangladesh when he was given out in a 34-run victory for the hosts which levelled the series at 1-1.
Mortaza and Sabbir were found guilty of "using language, actions or gestures which disparage or which could provoke an aggressive reaction from a batsman upon his/her dismissal during an international match".
But the Tigers skipper responded on the eve of the final match of the series on Wednesday, which is under threat due to the weather, by saying he did not feel a line was crossed.
"Actually we didn’t do anything wrong so we shouldn't apologise,” he said.
"We just celebrated what we felt. We don't have to say sorry for that. Whatever happened, the match referee was there. Our team is completely normal and I am 100 per cent sure that my team is not thinking about this."
England all-rounder Moeen Ali believes Bangladesh could buckle under pressure when it really matters if rain does not have the final say.
"They are a good side with some very good players. But we know that if we put them under pressure – like we saw in the first game – they can crack a bit more than the bigger sides. Hopefully, we can do that again,
"We saw in the World Cup when they played India, they messed that up as well. We know it will take them a bit more time to get over that kind of stuff. It took us years and years and we still sometimes under pressure don't play as well."
