Nepal beat Canada by one wicket to secure its place in the ICC World Cup qualifiers in Zimbabwe. The 51-run last wicket-stand between Sandeep Lamichhane and Karan KC, after Nepal was left reeling on 144 for nine, took it to past the finishing line, making it four wins in five matches on the points table.

Earlier, Srimantha Wijeratne's maiden List-A hundred had pushed Canada to 194 for 8 as the opposition spinners Basant Regmi (3/34) and Lamichhane (2/40) tightened the noose on the batsmen.
