V. B. Chandrasekhar buys tender for TNPL

Former India cricketer V. B. Chandrasekhar is among those who have bought the tenders for the inaugural season of the Tamil Nadu Premier League.

Former India cricketer V. B. Chandrasekhar is among those who have bought the tenders for the Tamil Nadu Premier League (TNPL). Wednesday was the last date for the securing applications for the TNPL. Others who have purchased the forms include Ruby Builders, Ishari K. Ganesh, Chairman and Chancellor, Vels University and actor and producer Kutti Padmini.

In all, 22 parties have obtained the forms. June 1 will be the last date for any clarification. The tenders will be submitted and opened on June 9.

Meanwhile, the Tamil Nadu Cricket Association (TNCA) will hold its executive committee meeting here on Thursday. Generally, this meeting in May decides the office bearers for the coming season.

Apart from Albert Muralidharan, vice-president, TNCA, who has offered his resignation, the present list of office-bearers are expected to be nominated again. Muralidharan, who has bought the form for bidding in TNPL, has done so to avoid a conflict of interest.
