Borussia Dortmund and Liverpool face a UEFA investigation following their Europa League clash at Signal Iduna Park on Thursday.

The Bundesliga side has been charged with blocking stairways during the 1-1 draw in the first leg of the quarter-final. Liverpool, meanwhile, has been charged by European football's governing body after fans set off fireworks in the aftermath of Divock Origi scoring the opening goal.

The Anfield club is already facing separate charges of illicit chanting and further crowd disturbances from its last-16 second leg draw with Manchester United at Old Trafford.

All charges will be dealt with by UEFA's Control, Ethics and Disciplinary Body on May 19, the organisation confirmed on Friday.
